The South Passage

This is probably one of my favorite pieces, just because I spent so much time working on it. Though it's probably the most unoriginal as I based most of it off of a photo, but as you might start to notice, I can't resist the dark, contrasty look. The play of shadow and light is completely fascinating to me, and though I don't consider myself all that great at capturing it, practice makes perfect, right? Riiight...

So here is Han and Leia having one of those moments.

And by 'Tumblr' I mean...

No masterpiece here, by any means. This was just a goofy little doodle I made when I first got my hands on a tablet (and something to maybe amuse those Tumblr rats). Imagine the after party of the Yavin ceremony, and a Han Solo who has probably had one too many...

Now that I'm looking at this again, there should probably be a bunch of passed out rebels lying across the counter...perhaps that can be my part 2. ;)

Speaking of crazy parties, here's a special bonus...

Hold Me...

I don't do digital art often, but I like to give it a shot on occasion. I'm not all the comfortable with it, but it is awesome to have an 'undo' button when doing art. Here we have a heroic Leia holding a fresh-out-of-the- carbonite Han Solo. A romanticized rescue.

The Empire Strikes Back

Here's a piece I did about a year ago. The Empire Strikes Back will always be a favorite film of mine, and I've always had a particular fondness for this poster. So, I did a little stylized tribute to it one night after working on another piece for an art class. Again, with charcoal. 18"x24".

Some Kind of a Welcome

So since I've got this account, I figured I put it to use. Basically, I'll just be occasionally dropping my Han/Leia-Star-Warsy art down in this space for the internet to hopefully enjoy. And while you're here, go say hey to my buddies over at the HanLeiaFanFicWriters.

Here is the most recent piece I did with charcoal, one of my absolute favorite mediums to work with.
